Wedding signs are a cute, easy way to personalize your ceremony and reception décor. Plus, they’re immensely helpful—you can use the signs to welcome guests, give them directions to the various festivities, clue them in on the bar and dinner menu, or simply reassure them that they’ve come to the right place.
If you’re hosting a destination or tropical-themed wedding—or simply love the outdoors—we’re fans of this recent trend of incorporating fresh leaves as wedding signage. Instead of printed signs or cards, hand-write the wedding details onto pretty leaves. We especially love this idea for tropical weddings since there are so many stunning varieties available (i.e., elephant ears, banana leaves, calatheas) that make the perfect surface for signage information (pro tip: use white or gold ink so the words really pop).
Skip the printed ceremony program and hand-write the details on a large banana leaf, instead; then, display the sign in a simple vase at the entrance to the venue so guests will be sure to spot it. At cocktail hour, write out all of the different beverage options on an oversize leaf and display it at the bar so guests know what’s on tap. Need some more signage ideas?
