On the second night of an impromptu Los Cabos getaway, Rob popped the question to his girlfriend, Jamie. Nearly a year later, they returned to tie the knot with 60 of their closest friends and family at the Marquis Los Cabos. "I was never a girl who knew exactly what she wanted for her wedding, but I knew I wanted it on the beach," says Jamie. With help from event planner Jennifer Zabinski of the Wedding Library in NYC, the bride's request was carried out beautifully.
After the ceremony, everyone celebrated at the beachside cocktail hour before being led through four fire pits to reach the reception. Guests dined on filet mignon and sea bass with mango salsa, and a DJ encouraged dancing between courses. —Virginia VanZanten
Learn from Jamie and Rob
Keep Guests in Mind: The couple knew walking through sand might be hard for guests in heels, so they built a stage and covered it with sand to simplify the trek.
Fill Up on Local Flavor: Pink rattan welcome bags filled with traditional goodies like chips, salsa and tequila gave guests a sense of the locale.
Get Personal: Rob helped customize the welcome bags by adding CDs he'd created containing some of his and Jamie's favorite songs.
Make It Snappy: To glam up the guest book, planner Jennifer Zabinski had Polaroid shots taken of everyone during the festivities, compiled them in an album and asked each person to mark theirs with a note to the newlyweds.
