Erica and Evan met in a yoga class in New York. "I'm an instructor, and Evan was my student," says Erica. Their wedding was held in Houston, the bride's hometown, at the Gardens of Bammel Lane. Erica wore a gown by Mikaella Bridal, and accessorized with a floral sash and headpiece by The Artisann, and BCBG sandals.

Bouquet featuring craspedias, snapdragons, roses, and eucalyptus.

Evan's Alfani suit was adorned with a craspedia boutonniere.

Erica's four bridesmaids wore gray J.Crew dresses paired with yellow Seychelles heels, and carried craspedia bouquets; all floral design was by Virginia Wills.

The ceremony was held in a gazebo draped with white linens and decorated with galvanized tin buckets filled with snapdragons.

The newlyweds recessed to "Air" from Handel's Water Music, played by the Fidelis String Quartet.

"Our venue was so beautiful and unique," says Erica, who planned the wedding with the help of Jessica Zapatero of Green Lily Weddings. "I never wanted a traditional ballroom wedding," she adds. "I always pictured marrying in a garden."

After the ceremony, cocktail hour was also held alfresco. Guests enjoyed white sangria served in mason jars, and hors d'oeuvres such as turkey sliders and sweet potato fries. All catering was provided by Ruggles Green.

The reception was held in the conservatory.

Tables featured a variety of centerpieces, including tin pails full of white flowers , bells of Ireland in antique milk jugs, and glass bottles filled with craspedia, all atop yellow and gray table runners.

Dinner featured a pasta station and a paella bar. The red velvet wedding cake, by Cakes by Gina, was decorated with a cascade of fresh flowers and fruit.

Erica and Evan performed their first dance to "Heaven Can Wait" by Dean Martin. Music was provided by DJ Jose Pineda of LG Entertainment.

After the reception, the newlyweds exited as their guests waved sparklers . "It looked like we were running through fireworks," says Erica. "It was a magical ending to such a special day."
