As far as the love lives of your favorite celebrities are concerned, several A-list couples have made things official by getting engaged in recent months. It seems that nearly every week, a new celebrity couple got engaged and inspired some major engagement ring envy.
In 2019, we started the year on an exciting foot with Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom and Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez announcing their engagements less than a month apart! And then, just when we thought royal wedding fever was over, Princess Beatrice announced her boyfriend Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi popped the question (yay for another royal wedding!).

Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom
Orlando Bloom took advantage of Valentine's Day to propose to singer Katy Perry this year! The engagement went down during a helicopter ride that caught Perry completely off-guard. The actor proposed with a flower-shaped engagement ring with a pink diamond center stone. To announce the news to her fans, Perry posted a photo of the couple, which featured her ring, along with the caption "Full bloom. A 2020 wedding is in the works for these two and we can't wait!
Sammi 'Sweetheart' Giancola and Christian Biscardi
Two years into dating, Jersey Shore alum Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola announced her engagement to boyfriend Christian Biscardi. She shared the news with a candid shot of the proposal on Instagram in early March.
Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez
Alex Rodriguez and Jennifer Lopez officially became J-Rod when the former baseball star proposed to the singer while on vacation in the Bahamas. After meeting on the set of Saturday Night Live in 2017 (Johannson hosted an episode that year), the couple decided to take the next step in their relationship this year! Jost popped the question in May and the couple celebrated at a restaurant in upstate New York.

This Bachelor Nation couple made things official with an engagement this year. After meeting on season 4 of Bachelor of Paradise, Gottschalk proposed at the end of May. He tricked Gates into thinking she was doing a photoshoot for her online boutique. In the middle of the photoshoot, he surprised her by getting down on one knee!

Gianna Santos, a beauty content manager, was first seen wearing an engagement ring on Labor Day. Actor Jonah Hill's reps later confirmed the engagement a few days later. The pair has been linked since August 2018 and have spent several holidays together with their families.
Susan Kelechi Watson and Jaime Lincoln Smith
The This Is Us actress announced her engagement to Jaime Lincoln Smith in early September with a selfie featuring her envious ring. The actor proposed with a cushion-cut sapphire set on a diamond band. However, we've come to believe that the engagement happened earlier in the summer since Watson's co-star Mandy Moore revealed that she knew about the news long before Watson made it Insta-official!

James Middleton and Alizee Thevenet
Brother of future queen Kate Middleton, James Middleton proposed to his girlfriend Alizee Thevenet in October. Middleton presented Thevenet with a ring very similar to his sister's, a square-cut blue stone on a white-gold or platinum band. While their wedding won't necessarily be a royal one, we know that the guest list will be full of royal guests. Middleton might even enlist his niece and nephew Princess Charlotte and Prince George as a wedding attendants!
Ronan Farrow and Jon Lovett
Award-winning investigative journalist Ronan Farrow used his new book Catch and Kill to propose to his now fiancé Pod Save America host Jon Lovett. The news of their engagement wasn't revealed until October, but we believe the proposal went down earlier in the year.
Adam Devine and Chloe Bridges
After four years of dating, Adam Devine asked actress Chloe Bridges to be his wife in October. While they haven't revealed exactly how the proposal went down, based on the photos they shared on Instagram we can assume Devine popped the question during a sunset boat ride.

While we have no confirmation on whether or not Anna Faris is actually engaged, she was spotted wearing a ring on that finger at the beginning of November. The yellow cushion-cut diamond is most likely an engagement ring from boyfriend Michael Barrett. Now we just have to wait and see if the speculation is true—before the end of 2019!

The Good Place actor Manny Jacinto was inspired by his on-screen character, Jason Mendoza, when it came time to propose to girlfriend Dianne Doan. “I was toying when to pop the question for a long time,” said Jacinto, per Vulture in November. “I looked at the Janet/Jason relationship, and there’s a sentence that Jason says to Chidi about relationships and it hit me pretty hard. I thought it was a sign that I needed to do it, and a week later I popped the question.”

Known for originating the role of Mark Cohen in the hit Broadway musical RENT in 1996, Anthony Rapp proposed to boyfriend Ken Ithipholon in November. Based on Rapp's Instagram announcement, we assume the proposal was pretty low-key. The Star Trek: Discovery actor presented his now-fiancé a thick silver band.

Lamar Odom and Sabrina Parr's engagement was a celebrity proposal that no one saw coming this year! But sure enough, there's going to be a new Mrs. Odom in town! The former basketball player proposed to Parr, a health and life coach, while out to dinner in Miami.

Although the pair sparked engagement rumors back in April when she was seen wearing a ring on her left hand, we finally have confirmation that the couple is tying the knot!
Nick Young and Keonna Green
On Christmas morning, NBA player Nick Young proposed to girlfriend Keonna Green. She showed off her new cushion-cut diamond in an Instagram post and Young said the proposal was "long overdue."
Toni Garrn and Alex Pettyfer
Supermodel Toni Garrn and Magic Mike actor Alex Pettyfer also got engaged on Christmas in 2019. However, the couple waited a full week to announce the news with the world. Lady Kitty Spencer and Michael Lewis
On January 7, news broke that Lady Kitty Spencer, otherwise known as Princess Diana's niece, is reportedly engaged to Michael Lewis, a South African multi-millionaire. Reports suggest the 29-year-old socialite and her 61-year-old boyfriend have been engaged since December 2019. Looks like we have a royal-adjacent wedding to look forward to!
Martha Hunt and Jason McDonald
While vacationing in the Bahamas after the new year, photographer Jason McDonald popped the question to Victoria's Secret model Martha Hunt on January 5. Hunt announced the news via Instagram a few days later, showing off her blinding cushion cut diamond ring. McDonald attached a tag with the couple's initials, as well as the engagement ring to their dog's collar for his proposal!
