2018 has been a pretty big year as far as the love lives of your favorite celebrities are concerned. It seems that nearly every week, a new celebrity couple got engaged and inspired some major engagement ring envy.
Although plenty of celebrity weddings have also occurred this year (like Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's royal wedding for instance!), plenty of other A-listers have just begun their journey to "I do." Just how many, you ask? Scroll below!
Paris Hilton and Chris Zylka
In early January, heiress Paris Hilton and her boyfriend Chris Zylka were on a ski trip in Aspen, Colorado, when Zylka popped the question. Zylka got down on one knee on a snowy mountain top and asked Hilton to marry him, giving his bride a $2 million diamond ring. "I was so excited and surprised! I immediately said yes!" the 36-year-old told PEOPLE, adding that she definitely approves of Zylka's jewelry taste. "The ring was so gorgeous and sparkling. I was shaking as I put it on. It is the most beautiful ring that I have ever seen!"
Sadly, the two called their engagement quits in late November, which meant Hilton probably had to give back her $2 million ring.
Caitriona Balfe and Tony McGill
Outlander actress Caitriona Balfe revealed that she is engaged after showing off her diamond ring on the 2018 Golden Globe Awards red carpet. “It happened over the break. I’m very happy,” she told PEOPLE of her engagement. Balfe and her fiancé, Tony McGill, have been dating for two years.
Tenley Molzahn and Taylor Leopold
Former Bachelor contestant Tenley Molzahn revealed in mid-January that she was engaged to her boyfriend of two years, Taylor Leopold. The reality star shared a photo to her Instagram page, showing off her diamond engagement ring. "THIS IS HAPPENING!!!" she wrote on Instagram. "Last night I said yes to spending forever with him! My heart is gushing with happiness and excitement and I can't stop thinking of how good God is!!!"
Molzahn previously competed for Jake Pavelka's love on The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love, back in 2010. She placed second on the 14th season of the show, but, as it turned out, she didn't need the reality show to find love after all.
The two tied the knot in late April and celebrated their honeymoon at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in California.
Ed Sheeran and Cherry Seaborn
The Grammy-award winning singer announced his engagement to girlfriend Cherry Seaborn on Instagram in late January, sharing a picture of the two of them in a sweet embrace with the caption, "Got myself a fiancé just before new year. We are very happy and in love, and our cats are chuffed as well xx."
Though the two have known each other since high school, they didn't start dating until a few years ago. They sparked their romance in the summer of 2015 when Sheeran’s friend and fellow musician Taylor Swift invited Seaborn over for her Fourth of July party at her Rhode Island home. Who knew Taylor Swift was such a matchmaker?
Supposedly, the couple has already low-key tied the knot, with Sheeran seemingly confirming the nuptial news in an August interview.
Darren Criss and Mia Swier
Glee actor Darren Criss announced his engagement to his longtime girlfriend Mia Swier back in January with a sweet Instagram post. "Mia and I have had seven and a half years of fun, wacky, wonderful, CRAZY adventures together. And I’m happy to announce that we’re kicking those adventures up a notch. We’re goin for it. To boldly go where neither of us have gone before. Engage. 🚀💍🖖" he wrote in his caption. To death and back, I love you, Turman." The couple has yet to reveal any other info about their nuptials, but the two have hinted in the past that their lucky number is 11, so we're guessing it will happen on the 11th of an upcoming month!
Camilla Luddington and Matthew Alan
Grey’s Anatomy star Camilla Luddington announced her engagement in mid-January, after weeks of keeping the news a secret. Her boyfriend—fellow actor Matthew Alan—popped the question on New Year’s Eve, and Luddington shared the exciting news via a close-up Instagram shot of her ring and her son Hayden's hand grabbing it. "Sooo this happened on New Year’s Eve. I’m not sure I even let Matt get through his proposal before I started yelling YES YES YES!! Of course it was a yes! Also... Hayden approves," she wrote in her caption.

It's another royal engagement! Buckingham Palace announced in late January that Princess Eugenie, the 27-year-old daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, got engaged to her longtime boyfriend, Jack Brooksbank. The two met on a ski trip a few years ago and became engaged in Nicaragua, according to a statement from the royal family. The ceremony took place on October 12 at St. George's Chapel in Windsor—the same place where Prince Harry married Meghan Markle on May 19, 2018.
Steve-O and Lux Wright
The Jackass daredevil popped the question to his girlfriend earlier this year, and surprisingly, there were no explosions or life-threatening stunts involved. Steve-O proposed to Wright on January 21, and shared some sweet photos to Instagram along with the nuptial news. "Last night, in front of a bunch of my Jackass buddies, my closest friends, my dad, and my sister... she said 'yes.' I planned that for more than six months, and I’m so happy—I can’t wait for you all to see it... #GNARLY @luxalot,” he wrote in his caption.

Idris Elba and Sabrina Dhowre
The Dark Tower actor Idris Elba proposed to his girlfriend, Sabrina Dhowre, at the Rio Cinema movie theater in London, just before a screening of his directorial debut Yardie. The British actor surprised the audience by popping the question mid-screening, giving fans an extra special show. "Another @riocinema first!" the venue shared in a Tweet at the time. "Still 5 days to Valentine's Day but @idriselba went down on one knee and proposed to his girlfriend live on stage this morning before a preview of his film #Yardie."

The musical couple first started dating back in May 2016 when they made their first public appearance together at the 2016 BET Awards in June of that year, but they originally met over 10 years ago in 2002 while working on the song "Baby You Can Do It" together.
