Being a Barrymore, Drew embodies all of the star-quality glamour one expects of Hollywood's anointed royals. But she's also just Drew—a vivacious, creative woman with bohemian sensibilities and a fashion sense to match. As many of the designers who sketched looks for Drew noted, an ideal gown for the star's wedding will marry the sophistication of her Hollywood heritage with the spontaneous, bubbly charm that's made her America's sweetheart.

Tara La Tour

"I wanted to play to Drew's romantic sensibilities as well as her edgy side, all while being fresh and sophisticated," says Tara LaTour, who created this ombré nude-and-gray gown for the star. "The unique color shows off her individuality and her playful attitude." The strapless neckline tapers into a lean silhouette—nipped in at the waist by an embellished belt—and flows into a peak-panel skirt of raw silk faille, with layers of tea-dyed silk gazaar and silk-organza petals beneath.

Randi Rahm

To emphasize Drew's Old Hollywood style, designer Randi Rahm looked to the 1940s for inspiration. "I wanted the gown to convey how effortlessly Drew wears elegant styles while remaining bohemian chic," says the designer. The silk appliquéd tulle silhouette evokes a bygone glamour and sophistication that "pulls from Drew's powerful yet playful femininity, creating a modern vintage look."

Lela Rose

Lela Rose re-imagined a dress called Archive—a tulle, cotton, and silk-faille gown from her Fall 2012 collection—creating this embroidered version with hand cording and beading. "It's sophisticated yet playful—perfect for Drew," Rose says. "She has a great confidence and independence about her, which I think this dress highlights."

Theia

"Drew Barrymore is one of my favorite Hollywood actresses," says creative director Don O'Neill, who designed a gown that captures the "tousled, natural beauty Drew has made her signature." The gown's figure-hugging silhouette is embellished with laser-cut silk chiffon petals, while a belt embellished with mother-of-pearl flowers, quartz crystal, and natural pearls adds a touch of glamour.

Junko Yoshioka

Striking a balance between Drew's boho-chic and Old Hollywood styles, Junko Yoshioka designed a silk organza, modified A-line gown with a deep V-neckline, spaghetti straps, and illusion details. "The organza embellishments and feathers at the waist evoke Drew's bubbly, fun personality," Yoshioka says.

Ines di Santo

Never one to play it safe, Italian designer Ines di Santo was drawn to Drew's fashion-forward side in creating this gown, which features an asymmetrical pleated bodice of silk-satin organza, beading, embroidery, and cutout details. "Drew takes fashion risks and sets trends," di Santo says. "This design is very couture and requires a sense of confidence that Drew naturally exudes."

Hayley Paige

Newcomer Hayley Paige was drawn to Drew's fun-loving demeanor when designing this wedding gown, which she calls Coco. "Drew has an amazing sense of self and her wedding attire should emphasize that contagious charm," says Paige. The sweetheart-style bodice and cascading ball gown skirt, comprised of eyelet lace and Swiss dot accents, emphasize the actress's femininity.

Anne Bowen

Anne Bowen, who has dressed Drew for red carpets in the past, wanted to evoke the actress's romantic sensibility and created a gown that's more traditional than we typically see on the designer's runway. Delicate flutter sleeves add a soft touch to the fitted silhouette, which is cut from silk chiffon and adorned with shimmering crystals; the sleek shape extends from the knee into a tulle skirt and dramatic train.

Anne Barge

Sleek sophistication was Anne Barge's guidepost in dreaming up a wedding look for Drew. Mimicking the folds of the crumb-catcher neckline, the bias-cut ruffle skirt softens the architectural lines of the silk-satin organza gown and highlights the star's figure. "Drew is so gorgeous—you don't want the dress to distract from her beauty," Barge says. "The dress should simply highlight her best features."

Angel Sanchez

"I am a firm believer that a bride's gown should be a reflection of her personality," says designer Angel Sanchez, who found inspiration in Drew's whimsical-yet-edgy style. Cut from trikado, one of the designer's signature fabrics, the strapless mermaid gown features a peek-a-boo bodice and a lace overlay with hand-embroidered details. "The gown maintains a balance between romantic and cutting-edge while showing off Drew's fantastic figure," Sanchez says.
