I-Ching and Mark in Freeland, MD\\nTwo design pros use their talents to transform a family farm into the site of a rollicking celebration.\\nShe used the leftover lace to wrap the bridal and bridesmaids' bouquets, which, like all the floral arrangements, were created by her sister, Jennifer Lee.\\nTo honor the bride's Taiwanese heritage, a traditional tea ceremony, was held before the wedding. \\"It was important for us to honor our elders—introduce them to one another and formally thank them for their roles in our lives,\\" says I-Ching.\\nThe wedding ceremony took place in a pasture, where guests sat on pews Mark created from bales of hay.\\nI-Ching also wore an heirloom necklace. \\"My grandmother gave it to my mother on her wedding day,\\" she says. Mark wore a Haspel seersucker suit and orange Ferragamo tie. The couple married at a farm owned by the groom's family.\\nBefore the reception all 140 guests gathered for a photo outside the log farmhouse, which the groom's parents had restored recently. Guests then walked to the barn, where the reception was held.\\nThe couple hung photos of family and friends on a fruiting cherry tree display. The day after the wedding, the couple and Mark's parents planted the tree on the farm. \\"We love that it will reap the love of the people who attended our wedding and grow for years to come,\\" says I-Ching.\\nDinner, catered by Chef's Expressions, featured \\"simple mid-Atlantic foods,\\" says the bride.\\nThese included pecan-crusted rockfish, homemade cheese biscuits and corn bread, corn on the cob, crab cakes, and fried green tomatoes.\\nLater in the evening, I-Ching changed into a short dress by Thakoon to perform a tango with Mark.\\nThe caterers also created the wedding confection—carrot cake with cream cheese frosting .\\nThe couple enlisted Aran Keating of Ridiculous Entertainment, to provide the music. \\"He eventually got everyone hooting and hollering!\\" says I-Ching. The evening ended with guests gathered around a roaring bonfire; some even camped out and spent the night in the barn.
