In recent years, babymoons have become ever more popular—but figuring out the best babymoon destination for your relaxing and romantic escape is not always as easy as you might think.

What originated as a special trip designated to spend some quality time with your love prior to your littlest love’s arrival has evolved into a “must” for many couples. And let's face it, what's not to love about some well-deserved R&R together, before you welcome a new addition to your family?

Here are some of our favorite babymoon destinations right now. Bon voyage!

Miami, Florida

Although Miami had a Zika cautionary warning a few years back, the CDC no longer has any travel notifications related to the virus for Miami-Dade County, meaning it’s time to, in the words of Will Smith, “party in the city where the heat is on”—well, as best you can while preggo, that is. Beach-loving couples should head for The Setai Miami Beach, a luxe beachfront oasis in the heart of Miami Beach. Loungers, daybeds and cabanas surround three temperature-controlled pools (set at 75, 85 and 95 degrees) and attentive staff makes the rounds with complimentary bottles of chilled water and cooling misting spray. At the end of the day, head to The Ocean Grill to indulge in a romantic dinner for two—or three, as the case may be!

Bermuda

For a babymoon destination with relaxed island vibes, what could be better than crystal clear waters, secluded shores and pink sand beaches? Bermuda has been a leading babymoon destination amid the recent Zika concerns as there's never been a single case reported here. Treat yourself like the princess that you are and book a stay at the luxurious Hamilton Princess & Beach Club; whether you’re working on your pregnancy fitness or are seeking some blissful spa time, the property's 8,200-square-foot fitness and spa facilities will seem like heaven on earth. Unwind over a leisurely dinner at Marcus’, where comfort food gets an island twist courtesy of celebrity chef Marcus Samuelsson. From historic St George in the East End to an oceanic museum that delves into the mysteries of the Bermuda Triangle—and snorkeling and sailing adventures aplenty—Bermuda has a lot to explore. But if you'd rather just relax and revel in the luxe accommodations, we wouldn't blame you one bit!

The Jersey Shore

Don’t let that infamous MTV show fool you: New Jersey is home to some incredible beaches and quaint seaside towns—especially Stone Harbor. Expectant couples on the East Coast looking for a drivable babymoon destination should pack their beach bags and head on down the Parkway to The Reeds at Shelter Haven, a 37-room bayside resort that's all about serenity and relaxation. Thanks to the property's “beach butlers,” who will escort you to the resort's designated beachfront a few blocks away, you won’t have to worry about towels or sunscreen—they’ve got you covered. Back onsite, choose from one of five restaurants that will have anything and everything you’re craving, including pizza, tacos and ice cream. Yes, please!

Cotswolds, England

If sun and sand aren’t speaking to you, consider hopping across the pond for your babymoon getaway. Set in the Cotswolds, some of England's prettiest countryside, The Lygon Arms feels like something out of a royal fairytale. Book one of the property's courtyard suites, which are decked out with antique furniture, king size beds and come with their own private terraces and gardens. Other onsite indulgences include a proper afternoon tea, a relaxing pool area amid beautifully manicured grounds and the Lygon Arms Spa. If you're up for it, the hustle and bustle of London is just two hours away by train and makes for an easy day trip. (Note that while transatlantic flights are generally okay for most women into their third trimester, it never hurts to double-check with your doctor!)

A destination day spa, one of the state's top-rated golf courses, numerous pools and a winding lazy river—plus around-the-clock dining options to satisfy every preggo craving, no matter what time they may strike—The Westin Kierland Resort and Spa in Phoenix-Scottsdale makes for a great home base for a relaxing, stress-free (and totally car-free) babymoon if you're looking to escape wintery weather in other parts of the U.S. The property also just so happens to anchor one of the city's newest shopping, dining and entertainment districts, the upscale Kierland Commons, which means you can shop to your heart's content knowing your oh-so-comfy accommodations are steps away. You can be "home" in minutes to elevate those peds as soon as they start aching!
