Exclusive First Look: Jenna Ushkowitz and David Stanley Are Married!

It’s official for Jenna Ushkowitz and David Stanley! The couple said “I do” on Saturday, July 24, 2021, in a beautiful outdoor ceremony at a historic home in Los Angeles. 

“We were elated and so grateful that we didn’t have to push our wedding and that we got to have the day of our dreams,” Jenna exclusively tells Brides. “It was such a gift that we were able to share it with our friends and family.” 

The newlyweds first met on a Hinge date—Jenna's first-ever!—in June 2018 and got engaged during the pandemic, while on a walk with their dogs in their L.A. neighborhood. (They had designed her engagement ring together, so while Jenna admits that she knew it was coming, she didn’t know when.)

On the big day, Jenna wore a stunning strapless gown by Netta BenShabu and Kinsley James Couture Bridal, while David opted for a classic tux from Hugo Boss. They celebrated with 104 of their closest family and friends. 

“We always dreamed of a wedding on the smaller side, but with COVID, we definitely had to scale back more than we anticipated,” explains Jenna. “Having our closest family and loved ones there (safely) was a priority for us. By setting the expectation from the get-go that we had to limit guests, we were able to focus our planning and ensure that we could stay flexible in case any element of the day needed to change.” 

While their dream day came together in the end, thanks to Cynthia Baghdasarian and Evelyn Pirali at With a Flair Events, the former Glee actress says that she and David, like any COVID couple, “had to be flexible” planning a wedding during the pandemic. “We knew there was a possibility that we might have to push our date, and we wondered a lot during the planning process if the wedding we imagined would happen,” she adds.
