If the last six months have taught us anything, it's that we're all in desperate need of a little beauty in our lives. Bridal Fashion Week couldn't have come at a better time, and escaping into a world of exquisitely crafted wedding dresses was a breath of much-needed fresh air.
Our team has pored over every collection (virtually, of course) and fallen in love with every layer of tulle, every single piece of embroidered lace, the oversized bows, and inventive takes on wedding attire for the new normal.
Here, our favorite wedding dresses from another virtual Bridal Fashion Week.
"The scattered sequins make it look like a wearable constellation—and I love how the featherweight bow takes on a life of its own."—Leah Wyar, VP & General Manager
"Give me disco vibes every day of the week! This Naeem Khan mini dress strikes the right balance between elegance and simplicity—making it a perfect micro wedding dress option now that can be worn again for that sequel wedding dance party."—Roberta Correia, Editorial Director
"Hello Stephanie Seymour in November Rain! There's nothing like a '90s call back to make my Bridal Fashion Week dreams come true, but what makes this Vivienne Westwood gown truly special is that it transforms from a grand statement with the overskirt, to an after party ready mini dress."—R.C.
Oscar de la Renta
"I'm here for this modern take on a classic ball gown from Oscar de la Renta. I love that it lets you show off a little leg and has pockets (!!)—but thanks to the gathered waist and silk-faille material, it still feels formal enough for a wedding of any size."—Anna Price Olson, Senior Editor
"Everything about this Alexandra Grecco dress gives me free-spirited, ethereal, boho bride vibes and I couldn’t be more obsessed! From the ruffled sleeves to the flowy skirt—it’s the perfect gown to channel your inner Stevie Nicks."—Mariah Kulak, Social Media Editor
"Pared-back bliss! It doesn't get more classic than this clean and crisp gown from Amsale. Crafted from impeccably tailored silk mikado and featuring a sophisticated plunging neckline, this style is at once elegant and flattering."—Sophie Moore, Editor
Viktor & Rolf Mariage
"High-low hemlines were all over the Fall 2021 (virtual) runways but this stunner from Viktor & Rolf really caught my eye. From the layers of handcrafted flowers to the dramatic train, this one-of-a-kind gown is seriously statement-making."—S.M.
"This. Portrait. Neckline!!! I can’t help but think of Jackie Kennedy whenever I see a silhouette like this. It’s the epitome of timelessness, and Elie Saab’s Fall 2021 version is modernized with a sexy high slit. Swoon."—Samantha Netkin, Editor
"If the past six months have taught us anything, it’s that simple is the name of the game—and fashion is no exception. But this minimal Alexandra Grecco sheath is given a dreamy upgrade thanks to long, sheer sleeves. The sparkling embroidery adds a little whimsy while the illusion material allows brides to show some skin. Plus, who doesn’t love a slit?"—Maggie Kreienberg, Associate Editor
"There’s one detail that keeps me coming back to Savannah Miller’s gowns each season: the sleeves! Seriously, they never disappoint (and I’m truly a sucker for chic sleeves!). The “Indra” dress, in particular, stood out from the pack. Between the fitted silhouette, square neckline and plisse organza ruffle sleeves, I’d be racing to the altar in this look and argue 2021 brides should be too."—Maggie Kreienberg, Associate Editor
"I appreciate the little touches that make a wedding gown unique. It’s all in the details of this "Calypso" sheer off-the-shoulder dress by Halfpenny London. The combo of the floral lace and satin trim feel romantic yet still modern.”—Jaz Ortiz, News Editor
