Grace Kelly and Prince Rainier's 6-Tier Wedding Cake

"If you know me, you know how much I love a lavish wedding cake. Give me intricate details, buttercream flowers, and show-stopping height! Lately, I've been into retro styles, one of my favorite emerging wedding trends of 2021, and you really can't beat this gorgeous confection from Grace Kelly and Prince Rainier's nuptials. This all-white cake—a gift from the pastry chefs at Monte Carlo's Hotel de Paris—features a pair of live turtledoves (wow), an epic cake-slicing ceremony in which Prince Rainier used a sword (yes, really), and six tiers of baked perfection. It doesn't get more over-the-top."

Princess Beatrice's Vintage Wedding Dress

"Princess Beatrice's intimate nuptials might not have been the most opulent royal wedding, but it's still one of my favorites. After postponing her original plans due to the pandemic, the princess married her fiancé Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi during a secret ceremony filled with sentimental touches. My favorite detail, however, was Beatrice's vintage Norman Hartnell dress, which served as her "something old"—she borrowed the ornate gown from her grandmother Queen Elizabeth's collection. Not only was the dress absolutely stunning, but I also loved how Beatrice found ways to incorporate tradition into her nontraditional pandemic wedding."

Princess Caroline of Monaco's Flower Crown

"Instead of donning a gilded tiara like the royals before her, Princess Caroline of Monaco wore a beautiful and dainty white flower crown with a flowing veil that covered two Princess Leia-style buns. Her delicate flare sleeve, floral embroidered wedding dress, and cascading bouquet were the perfect match. Princess Caroline, Grace Kelly's daughter, was a boho bride before it was even a thing. I guess you can say trendsetting runs in the family!"

Kate Middleton's Wedding Makeup

"I love the fact that a royal beat her own face the morning of her wedding. It's true that no one knows your features as well as you do, and sometimes it's better to just stick with what you know, especially on a day that's as photographed as your wedding day. To prepare for the moment, Kate consulted with makeup artist Hannah Martin to create a grey smokey eye and beautifully saturated pink blush look using Bobbi Brown products, one of her favorite cosmetic brands. While I have immense respect for the craft of makeup artistry, I also chose to do my own wedding makeup after never being fully satisfied with how I looked at the hands of another artist (I'm picky, I know!) and love that she forwent a splashy glam team on such a historical day, choosing instead to do what felt the most comfortable."

Meghan and Harry's Powder Blue Getaway Ride

"It's the 1961 powder-blue Jaguar for me! My dad is an old car buff, so I'm admittedly partial to a vintage car moment at any wedding, but Meghan and Harry's 'something blue' ride is front-and-center on my wedding vision board. With a sexy silhouette and open-top, the choice feels chic, unexpected, and modern, even years later. Plus, I think it's the 'car moment' and not just the car for me. It's Meghan's perfect Stella McCartney halter dress, the aquamarine ring, that smile, the wave...truly an iconic look that will live rent-free in my mind until I'm able to recreate it at my own wedding someday."

Kate Middleton and Prince William's Indoor Forest

"My 13-year-old self was probably too excited to wake up at 4 a.m. to watch Prince William and Kate Middleton's royal wedding in 2011. But amidst all the grandeur, one unexpected detail stood out most to me as I gazed at my television screen that morning: the trees lining the aisle inside Westminster Abbey. I remember feeling quite stunned by the idea and have admired it ever since. Trees inside a church? How beautiful, how unique! It proves that you can do anything to make a wedding venue feel like your own, even if you are bound to religious (or royal!) rules."

Meghan Markle's Lily of the Valley Bouquet

"Lily of the valley is my birth flower, and I'm a total sucker for these delicate blooms. Like generations of royals before them, both Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle carried bouquets featuring the flower. A sweet fact about Meghan's bouquet is that, according to the palace, Prince Harry handpicked the flowers himself from the garden at Kensington Palace, adding a sentimental touch to the big day."

Princess Eugenie's Royal Tiara

"I'm obsessed with the eye-catching emerald and diamond tiara Princess Eugenie wore on her wedding day, which was on loan from Queen Elizabeth. The center stone, a whopping 93.7 carats, brought a brilliant green hue to her ensemble, which popped against her elegant white dress. It also coordinated perfectly with her bouquet of white flowers and lush greenery. Talk about major wedding accessory inspiration!"

Kate and Wiliam's Grumpy Flower Girl

"I absolutely love the real moments from a wedding that show royals can be just like us. For instance, even at Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding, a young bridesmaid can get a little grumpy after a long day of events. While the newlyweds were sharing a cute kiss for the crowd in front of Buckingham Palace, three-year-old Grace van Cutsem looked far from excited to still be sticking around at the royal affair. Not only is this photo absolutely adorable, but it also is a great reminder to couples that sometimes those candid photos are the best ones."
