This is not a drill. Your favorite bridal and tux retailers are partnering! David’s Bridal and The Black Tux, the online tux service company, just announced that they’re collaborating, and we couldn’t be more excited! Wedding planning just got a teensy bit easier.

According to a joint press release, both brands are hoping to continue growing their businesses through this collab. With 70 years of experience in the bridal industry, David’s Bridal will bring their expertise, wisdom, and expansive client base to the table. The Black Tux offers its substantial digital presence and innovative thinking. “The Black Tux is everything we would want in a partner—aspirational, unexpected, inclusive, accessible, humble,” Jim Marcum, CEO of David’s Bridal, said in the release. “They are responsible for completely reinventing rental suits and tuxedos, and bringing men’s formalwear into the modern era. They are the leader in this space, and rapidly gaining market share every day. They have perfected this personalized, elevated, and relevant shopping experience and we are thrilled to bring their product offerings and services to our modern customers.”

David’s Bridal is the country’s top authority in bridal services, and The Black Tux is quickly becoming the most influential tux rental and service company. David’s Bridal stores across the country will have The Black Tux pieces on display and available for customers to order in the store—making it a one-stop-shop for couples preparing for their special day. In return for this massive exposure, David’s Bridal hopes that The Black Tux will help to improve their customer experience. This partnership is just one of the actions David’s Bridal has taken to stay such a relevant and trusted company in the wedding space. The other initiatives include things like 3D and AR technologies on their site and virtual styling and appointment experiences. Of course, The Black Tux will gain so much from working with the bridal giant, such as a large, loyal customer base.

"Partnering with David's Bridal expedites our growth plans as we scale to become the largest suit and tuxedo brand in the United States," said Andrew Blackmon, co-founder of The Black Tux, in the release. "They are the largest, most influential bridal retailer out there, and a true wedding industry icon. Our product offerings blend seamlessly with the array of options available at David's Bridal, providing every customer a fully integrated and interactive shopping experience."

The Black Tux was created by friends Blackmon and Patrick Coyne after seeing a need for reliable tux services that also provide a great fitting suit. Their program allows you to find the perfect fit through a series of questions (think Fabletics and Shoe Dazzle), or by visiting one of the brand’s showrooms.

The partnership was just announced today, but tux displays will be coming to stores near you soon. So now you and your groom will have the convenience of shopping (and ordering) at the same place—just don’t let him see the dress!
