No matter what your bridal style may be—boho, contemporary, classic or somewhere in between—we're going to let you in on a little secret: David's Bridal's Fall 2020 collection has dresses for every kind of bride and we have the exclusive first look!
"We wanted our Fall 2020 collection to focus on the uniqueness of every bride," Kelly Cook, David’s Bridal Chief Marketing and IT Officer, tells Brides of the inspiration for the latest collection. "With this collection, we wanted to increase the breadth of our offerings across multiple aesthetics and introduce gowns to support the pivot to and growth of contemporary, modern, and traditional aesthetics."
Sequin jumpsuits for the bold bride? Check. Off-the-shoulder lace looks for the romantic bride? Check. Ball gowns for the dramatic bride? Check. You name it, this collection has it. "We highlight the hallmarks of David’s gowns with beautifully crafted styles, handsewn details, outstanding artistry, all at an amazing value," adds Kelly. And holding true to David's Bridal's values, each look comes in a full suite of sizes perfectly priced under $2,000 (with many even well under that!).
It’s personal and unique and helps bring to life how every customer can make our dresses her own.
However, it's not only the gorgeous styles that we're swooning over (how could we not?!), but the campaign itself. This season, David's Bridal put the focus on real women, recruiting influencers from across the country to style the gowns and shoot the campaign photos themselves. "This was a chance for these incredible women to bring our designs to life in their own way," says Kelly. "This was a definite first for us to rely solely on influencer assets for our campaign launch, but we could not be more thrilled with the outcome. It’s personal and unique and helps bring to life how every customer can make our dresses her own."
The perfect women for the job? Sruthi Jayadevan, Reannoin Jean, Megan Pinckney, Venita Aspen, Amandalyn Wulfert, Kelsey Hill and Lily Abolghasemi—many of whom are brides-to-be themselves. They were each tasked with telling a different story with the pieces, making each look feel personal and authentic. "We felt very strongly about the influencers shooting in their own environments, with their own styling. They know their audience best, and we trusted them, they are the experts," says Kelly.
We are not one size fits all and are lucky to have the chance to dress millions of women from all different backgrounds, with all different styles, all over the country.
With the wide array of styles (including separates and party looks, too!) at affordable price points, a bridal collection doesn't get any better than this. "We are not one size fits all and are lucky to have the chance to dress millions of women from all different backgrounds, with all different styles, all over the country," offers Kelly. "Our goal is to spotlight positivity, beauty and love in a world that could use it right now."
