Danielle Hirsch, the designer behind Danielle Frankel, studied at Parsons School of Design before landing roles at coveted fashion brands like Marchesa and Vera Wang. In 2017, Hirsch introduced her namesake label, which quickly gained an edgy reputation. Actress Zoë Kravitz was the first notable celebrity to wear the brand (donning a custom Danielle Frankel beaded top and biker shorts at her Parisian rehearsal dinner in 2019), and Erin Foster commissioned the designer for her New Years Eve "I dos." Most recently, Hirsch was a granted runner-up in the 2019 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund.

Below, the latest collections from Danielle Frankel.

Danielle Frankel Fall 2022

Each season, we wait in anticipation to see Danielle Hirsch's beautifully crafted wedding dresses, and each season, the designer never fails to deliver—always providing a range of gowns for modern brides with fashion-forward sensibilities. For her Fall 2022 line, Hirsch—inspired by the aesthetics of old photography—channeled her talents to produce a collection that will speak to the brides of today, but remain relevant for years to come.

Expanding further on her inspiration, Hirsch tells Brides, "An article in an April 1950 issue of Vogue amused me: “The Fine Art of Being a Stepmother.” How do we invoke new beginnings in non-traditional ways? I began imagining a moment in that mid-century: an obsession of ultra-feminine elegance twisted with masculine Dali-like surrealism, that resulted in a defiant and cinematic collection. These images personify those old fashion illustrations and Hollywood soundstages, hazy with dream-like movement."

Her main goal for the collection is to help brides feel like their authentic selves while walking down the aisle in one of her designs. "I hope the brides choosing these gowns find that what they choose to wear can set the tone for the wedding and to find something that truly feels like an elevated version of themselves, not something they are unrecognizable in," she shares. And with a variety of silhouettes and hand-painted colors, we're sure brides everywhere will be able to find a look that's genuine to their personal style.

Ahead, keep scrolling for a look at the full Fall 2022 collection.

"My favorite look is the frayed organza ballgown, Rae. The gown is hand-painted ombré organza. Each strip way cut, hand frayed, and sewn onto the gown delicately to create this desert-like combination of colors. I love challenging myself with color because it doesn’t come as naturally to me.” - Danielle Hirsch

Danielle Frankel Fall 2021

“This collection was really a response to studying the texture and language of flowers. Taking something that so many of us find beauty and inspiration in; dissecting the architecture of flowers to evoke the silhouettes and structure of the collection was a fresh approach for me," says Hirsch of her latest collection. For Fall 2021, Danielle Frankel partnered with Manolo Blahnik, and for the first time introduced color. Take a look below!

Danielle Frankel Fall 2020

Danielle Frankel's Fall 2020 bridal collection was inspired by vintage elements. "This season I referenced photographs of fishermen from the 1920s, antique lingerie techniques, and a family heirloom—a sterling silver belt my great-great-grandfather gave to my grandmother in 1930s Mexico," Frankel said of the collection. Below you'll find the looks.
