After announcing her engagement in August of last year, actress Cressida Bonas (who famously dated Prince Harry!) married longtime boyfriend Harry Wentworth-Stanley over the weekend.
The couple kept their wedding small, opting for a private, intimate ceremony in the English countryside, the Daily Mail reports. Bonas and Wentworth-Stanley, a property developer, held their nuptials at Cowdray Park, in Midhurst, West Sussex, in front of just 30 guests.
"It was a beautiful ceremony and they are just so happy," a family member told the Daily Mail. "It was a very private and intimate ceremony and that is what they wanted. Cressida looked stunning and was radiant. We are just all so happy for them and it was a great day but they did request that no one talks about it."
While details of the day are scarce (the bride wants to keep it that way!), Bonas's brother Jacobi Anstruther-Gough-Calthorpe shared an Instagram of the newlyweds presumably from their wedding day. In the photo, the happy couple can be seen riding horseback, with Bonas looking very bridal in a white dress and the groom wearing a navy suit.
Bonas and Wentworth-Stanley's marriage was actually several years in the making. The couple first dated as students at the University of Leeds and when they broke up, Princess Eugenie introduced Bonas to her cousin, Prince Harry. Bonas and the royal had a high-profile romance that lasted until 2014. Eventually, Bonas found her way back to Wentworth-Stanley again and the property developer popped the question during a holiday in Nantucket last summer.
And while we were hoping Prince Harry and Meghan Markle would have scored a spot on the guest list—Bonas attended their royal wedding in 2018—the bride previously revealed she wanted to keep her ceremony small. Based on the glimpse we've seen from the weekend, there's no doubt the couple's countryside nuptials was perfect.
