Ah, celebrities, they’re just like us. This means their holidays will also be looking quite different this year due to the pandemic. Just how 2020 weddings have had to make a major pivot, so have this season's celebrations.
So different in fact, that the Kardashians canceled their legendary, annual Christmas Eve party for the first time since 1978. And everyone should take a page out of their book. Let’s make this holiday season about keeping our loved ones safe. Whether that means taking a year off from traveling to relatives or celebrating together from a distance (masked up, of course). It’s the least we can do in order to play our part in putting an end to the spread of the pandemic.
And the Kardashians aren’t the only celebrities putting safety first for the holidays. From a safe Diwali for the Jonas' to a royally safe train tour just beginning, your favorite couples are proving we still have a lot to celebrate this year.
And if you need some inspiration, take it from these A-list couples. Here are some of our fave Hollywood (or royal) couples and how they’re safely spending the holidays together this year.
Kate Middleton, Prince William, Prince George, Prince Louis, and Princess Charlotte

Prince Louis's big grin is what first captured our attention. And we could all use that amount of joy after this year!

In addition to their holiday hit, the couple just released another duet that's already no. 1 on the country charts, "Happy Anywhere." Although the track isn't holiday-specific, it's a fitting tune for 2020. The video the couple shot at home is sure to lift spirits this season.

In early December, the royal couple embarked on a 1,250-mile train tour around Britain to give back and thank first responders who have worked tirelessly during the pandemic. The Duke and Duchess made stops along the tour to meet locals and spread some holiday cheer. Every stop was kept a surprise, though, to avoid big crowds in an effort to keep the tour safe. Some of their stops included the Cardiff Castle in Wales, the Scottish Ambulance Service response centre in Edinburgh and the Holy Trinity Church of England First School in Berwick-Upon-Tweed. They even met some real life reindeer at Berwick-Upon-Tweed. So festive!
