Katie is a storyteller with a passion for travel, as well as its applications within the bridal industry. She got her start as an Editorial Assistant at Travel + Leisure, and quickly moved up to becoming a Features and Travel Editor for Brides. As a freelancer, she has contributed content to a myriad of publications including Bloomberg, DuJour, and TripAdvisor. Her experiences in both the millenial-driven bridal industry and her expertise in storytelling resulted in the creation of MegaWatt Events, which offers consulting and content marketing services geared toward destination weddings.
Katie is a graduate of the Columbia Publishing Course at Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism. She earned a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature from Georgetown University, where she also minored in Spanish Language and Literature.
