Cherisse's obsession with weddings started at an early age, culminating in a healthy career in editorial research for popular wedding brands.

Cherisse earned a Fulbright Scholarship during her sophomore year of college, which allowed her to travel to the Netherlands, Paris, and Spain to further develop her writing skills. She has fact-checked multiple publications, including Refinery29, InStyle, and The New York Times. When she's not writing, she is a mom, an elementary education teacher, and an online English language teacher.
Cherisse received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Western Connecticut State University and two master's degrees: one in English Writing and one in Elementary Education, from the University of Bridgeport.
