Love is in the air, can you tell? After the postponement of many weddings during the COVID-19 pandemic, ceremonies are back—and the celebs are definitely on board. In 2021, we saw lavish weddings from Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton, Paris Hilton, Tarek El Moussa and Heather Rae Young, Jennifer Gates and Nayel Nassar, and more.

Can you really blame them for going all out? After two years of lockdown, if you've got the resources for a grandiose wedding, go big or go home. And in 2022, we're hoping the trend continues with even more star-studded nuptials. To start us off, Danielle Brooks just married her fiancé Dennis Gelin in not one, but two custom designer gowns.

Danielle Brooks kicks off the year with a Miami wedding dripping with grandeur and elegance. The Orange is the New Black star wed her fiancé Dennis Gelin in January with friends and family by their side. With the recent outbreak of Omicron, the couple required attendees of their lavish wedding, planned by D’Concierge, to have a both a negative PCR and rapid test.

But COVID didn't stop the actress from having her dream wedding—she wore not one, but two exquisite gowns. Brooks walked down the aisle in a custom dress from London-based Black designer Alonuko. She gave fans a peek at the stunning gown with a gallery of images, taken by Reem Photography, that she posted on her Instagram.

For the reveal and reception, Brooks slipped into a dress designed by longtime friend Cristian Siriano. "We thought it would be best to do a first look reveal so that we could go ahead with bridal party pictures and not hold up our guests after the ceremony," she told Vogue. "I decided to wear Christian Siriano for the reveal. We have been friends ever since my career first began."

The couple also had one very special guest in attendance: their two-year-old daughter served as their flower girl in the ceremony. Congratulations to the happy family!
