For her wedding to Paul Khoury deep in the enchanting Redwood forest of San Jose, California, Twilight actress Ashley Greene chose a Katie May gown that embodied sleek, modern sophistication. Known for silhouettes that complement and showcase the female form, Katie May’s designs draw inspiration from the fit itself.

“I always love making women feel beautiful and empowered in their own body....Shape and form is always at the forefront, and then I follow up with fabric. Anything that’s exciting and really gets me going often inspires me to design something that embodies what I really love about that fabrication.”

One thing that sets Katie May apart as a designer is her ability to customize her gowns to best fit the bride she’s working with. Not only does Katie May offer adjustments to make her gowns fit you perfectly, she also offers aesthetic modifications to allow you to achieve the wedding dress of your dreams. For a bride looking for a design that’s completely her, modern, and clean, Katie May is the perfect match.

Ralph Lauren (Priyanka Chopra)

For her three-day wedding celebration, Priyanka Chopra totally succeeded in blending her and Nick Jonas’s roots together in a collection of gowns that embody the star’s signature style. For her Western wedding, the Baywatch actress chose to work with American designer and fashion legend Ralph Lauren to create her custom white gown.

In RL Mag, the brand’s in-house digital magazine, Lauren revealed that Chopra’s custom strapless wedding gown and high-necked overlay coat took a total of 1,826 hours to complete, required fifteen different artisans in Mumbai, India, and featured more than 2 million pearlescent sequins. Now, that’s the celebrity treatment!

For her nuptials to Reddit founder Alexis Ohanian, tennis champion Serena Williams chose not one, not two, but three different dresses to tie the knot in. For her wedding ceremony, Williams chose a Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen ball gown and veil. Alexander McQueen is known for their unique and out-of-the-box creations, making the designer a perfect match for any bride who wants to stand out from the crowd on their wedding day.

Zuhair Murad (Sofia Vergara)

When Sofia Vergara married Joe Manganiello in December 2015, it was aptly called the wedding of the year. The Florida festivities took place at The Breakers Palm Beach resort and featured exquisite floral decorations that created an ultra-romantic atmosphere for the newlyweds. However, it was Vergara’s stunning Zuhair Murad gown that truly took center stage. This is not the first time Sofia Vergara has worn the Beirut-based designer. The Modern Family star has also donned Zuhair Murad’s impeccable designs for the Emmys, Golden Globes, Academy Awards, and more. However, with 11 pounds of sequins and 350 crystals adorning the dress, 1,657 total hours of labor, and 32 atelier employees working on the gown, Sofia Vergara’s Zuhair Murad wedding dress is undoubtedly the most unforgettable gown she has worn to date.

Undoubtedly a celebrity bridal favorite, Zuhair Murad also dressed Eveie Longdon for her wedding day. In 2014, Murad told Brides, "There's a great pride that goes into designing a bridal collection. In my culture, one's wedding day is seen as the most important day in a woman's life. Her wedding gown is sacred—a stunning masterpiece that is to be remembered forever. I always try to remember this when designing our bridal collections."

Known for his sleek and sophisticated designs, Zac Posen truly was the perfect designer to dress Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi on their wedding day. Both stars opted for custom Zac Posen looks for their intimate wedding, which took place at their gorgeous Los Angeles home. Portia de Rossi stunned in a halter-neck gown with a pale pink tulle skirt and a deep V-neckline, embodying the star’s feminine and chic style, while Ellen opted for a sheer Zac Posen shirt, vest and pants.

For Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder's picturesque California wedding, the Vampire Diaries star chose a romantic and elegant design by Los Angeles-based designer Claire Pettibone. Pettibone describes her design aesthetic as ethereal, whimsical, and unapologetically feminine. Gathering inspiration for her gowns from fashion and art history, Pettibone combines a modern design sensibility with an appreciation for timeless silhouettes.

“I try to design dresses that are unique and really express my bride’s personality and her sense of style. For that reason, there’s no one type of bride that’s attracted to my work. I always design a variety so that each dress has its own personality or statement.”

The actress worked with the designer to transform a silhouette she fell in love with, Claire Pettibone’s “Elizabeth” gown, to truly achieve the wedding dress of her dreams. Featuring custom details such as three quarter-length sleeves and an illusion neckline, Pettibone worked intimately with Reed to create a design that perfectly fit what the star was looking for on her big day. An added bonus is that customization is available for all of Claire Pettibone’s clients, from ensuring the fit is perfect for petite or curvy brides to adding custom design details like sleeves or a high neckline similar to Reed’s wedding gown.

Vera Wang (Chrissy Teigen)

Arguably Hollywood’s ultimate power couple, Chrissy Teigen and John Legend tied the knot in 2013 after six years together. The opulent wedding festivities were held at Lake Como in Italy, and was attended by high-profile celebrities Kanye West and Stevie Wonder. The model-turned-culinary-superstar wore not one, but three Vera Wang couture gowns throughout the big day. For the ceremony, Teigen chose a head-turning ball gown from Vera Wang's Spring 2013 collection. The gown featured cutout detailing, layered tulle, and stunning floral embellishments. For the later parts of the wedding, Teigen opted for a streamlined, ivory mermaid-style gown for dinner and a bold red reception dress straight from the runway.

Marchesa (Julianne Hough)

For her fairytale wedding to longtime partner and NHL star Brooks Laich, Dancing With the Stars regular Julianne Hough chose a custom Marchesa gown and breathtaking cathedral-length veil. Though Marchesa is largely known for their embellished and often over-the-top gowns, Hough chose to keep it simple and elegant with a white satin wedding dress. The gown featured a feminine sweetheart neckline and mermaid skirt, complementing the star’s figure and creating the perfect statement for the couple’s outdoor ceremony at the Coeur d'Alene Resort in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, near Hough's family home.

Carolina Herrera (Idina Menzel)

Carolina Herrera is a favorite designer among celebrities for their wedding day ensembles, dressing the likes of Olivia Palermo and Idina Menzel for their nuptials. For her intimate wedding to Aaron Lohr, Menzel chose an off-the-shoulder lace gown with a thin black belt, embodying the day’s romantic mood. The Broadway star paired her stunning Carolina Herrera gown with Jimmy Choo shoes, Ricardo Basta jewels, and a Jennifer Behr headpiece that made her look like a true princess on her wedding day.

Though no one outside of the list of wedding attendees have seen the actual gown Jessica Biel wore to marry music legend Justin Timberlake, it has been confirmed that the star wore a Giambattista Valli dress with pink accents for the intimate ceremony. In a press statement to Vogue, Valli expressed his enthusiasm about close friend Jessica Biel wearing one of his creations to walk down the aisle.

The gown was described as a custom-made couture gown that featured a strapless cut, silk organza fabric, a feminine floral motif, and layers of ruffles. The bride also reportedly changed into another strapless gown designed by the Italian designer for the reception, cementing Giambattista Valli as a celebrity bridal favorite.

Hayley Paige by JLM Couture (Lauren Luyendyk)

Hailey Paige has quickly become one of the most sought-after bridal designers in recent years, and even Bachelor stars like Lauren Luyendyk can’t get enough of her romantic and feminine style. Inspired by music, namely classic rock and tunes of the 50s and 60s, Hayley Paige seeks to create a “soundtrack” of sorts in every collection she creates. Paige sees each dress that she designs as a unique opportunity to tell her client’s story and express the personality of each bride she works with.

“I’m not a typical artist in the sense that I get inspired by a general theme and from there go into designing a collection. It works backwards for me,” Hayley Paige explains. “Each dress is given individual attention and expresses different elements. They don’t necessarily have to all tie in together. My aesthetic, in general, is really eclectic and depends on what each bride wants to express in their wedding dress.”

When working with Lauren for her wedding to Arie Luyendyk, Paige described the entire experience as a dream. Lauren originally found the designer through Instagram and a friendship blossomed from there. The natural setting of Lauren and Arie’s wedding—which was actually inspired by the wedding scene in Twilight—set the mood for the kind of wedding dress the reality TV star wanted to walk down the aisle in. In the end, Lauren and Hayley Paige worked together to customize an A-line fit from Paige’s Spring 19 collection with all-over sparkle, a plunging crystal neckline, a small train, and feminine floral embellishments.

Idan Cohen (Carly Waddell)

For her wedding to Evan Bass, Bachelor in Paradise star Carly Waddell chose to work with Israeli designer Idan Cohen to create her dream wedding look. The romantic illusion-nude design first appeared in Cohen’s 2017 bridal fashion show as the “Mercedes” dress and features a tulle skirt, feminine bodice with boning, and white floral accents to offset the dress’s nude underlay.

Known for his romantic and glamorous silhouettes with just the right amount of sex appeal, Idan Cohen describes his client as “a strong woman who knows she will not wear anything that's standard. [She’s] a woman who wants to prove her femininity and her confidence.”

Cohen also described working with Waddell as a "very fun” experience, explaining that she loved the design of the original dress and felt it was a perfect match for her beach wedding at the Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta resort near Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.

For her televised wedding to husband Tanner Tolbert, Jade Roper worked with couture designer Galia Lahav to create her custom gown. The celebration took place at the St. Regis Monarch Beach in California on January 24, 2016 after the pair got engaged on Bachelor in Paradise in Season 2. Though it’s been a couple years since Jade walked down the aisle, her dress remains timeless and one of our absolute favorite Bachelor wedding gowns. The design featured a deep V-neck bodice with lace detailing, thin straps, and a floor-length skirt.

As a premier house of couture bridal and evening gowns, Galia Lahav is best known for their quality and commitment to creating the dress of every bride’s dreams. With a focus on personalization and customization for every client, Galia Lahav prides himself on innovation when it comes to materials, silhouettes, and textures. The fashion house’s body-hugging silhouettes enable them to create a flattering look that embodies sex appeal and a timeless level of glamor.

Galia Lahav gathers inspiration for his designs from music, art, cinema, and what’s happening in the world of fashion across different cultures. “Of course, trends matter, so we’re very conscious about future trends,” Lahav explains. “We feel the heart of the fashion industry, and that gives us a perspective of the direction for every collection.”

Cavanagh Baker (Maren Morris)

Voted as one of the best celebrity wedding dresses of 2018, Maren Morris’s custom Cavanagh Baker gown certainly turned heads. The one-of-a-kind gown incorporated exquisite lace imported from Spain and jewels handmade in India, making this standout wedding dress all the more special.

“Our design aesthetic is taking classic silhouettes and modernizing them with unique textiles and fabrications,” Cavanagh Baker explains. “I gather inspiration for my designs from the fabric itself.
