When it comes to wedding shoes, brides often focus on finding the perfect pair for the main event. But just like selecting the right rehearsal dinner or after party outfit, thought and consideration should go into choosing a shoe for every event throughout the wedding weekend. With my own big day around the corner, shoe shopping for all of my bridal outfits remained on my to-do list. So I called in for backup and consulted with celebrity stylist Molly Dickson to curate my entire wedding shoe wardrobe.
Meet the Expert
Molly Dickson is a New York-based celebrity stylist. Her notable clients include Sydney Sweeney, Camila Mendes, and Addison Rae.
One of the most important parts of picking your wedding wardrobe is selecting pieces that will make you feel your best on your big day. “My biggest piece of advice would be to know your shoe in and out,” she adds. “Is it new? Does it need to be broken-in prior to the event?” As a bride-to-be, I want to be confident in my shoe choice while looking and feeling great in them so that I’m fully present on the day-of. With the help of Dickson and the Christian Louboutin bridal collection, I’m positive that my footwear will help me put my best foot forward on my most important walk—down the aisle!
Read on to see which shoes she hand-selected for my rehearsal dinner, wedding ceremony and reception, and the after party, all from Christian Louboutin.
Rehearsal Dinner: Christian Louboutin Loubi Queen or Just Queenie
The night before is all about building up excitement for the wedding day, and these crystal-embellished options have fun written all over them. “Invest in a pair of strappy sandals,” advises Dickson. “Sandals are very versatile and work well for any occasion.” If you’re looking for flats with a little more sparkle, the Christian Louboutin Just Queenie mules are the way to go.

Wedding Ceremony: Christian Louboutin Sandale Du Désert
Nothing feels more bridal than a dramatic bow, and the glitter-dusted tulle strap on this silk-satin crêpe heel is a showstopper. “To give off a timeless yet iconic look, I would suggest a pair of white or silver heels with a bow or crystal accents,” she says. “This will accentuate the overall look, making it feel very special while still giving off that elegant and classy vibe. Try the Christian Louboutin Sandale Du Désert for this style.”

Per Dickson, sometimes flats are a more practical choice, so as a backup, she suggests a pair like the elevated Christian Louboutin Kate Draperia flat.

Reception and After Party: Christian Louboutin Vieira Flat Sneaker
We’ll call this classic leather sneaker the official dancing shoe for the reception, after party, and beyond. “Bridal sneakers, like the Louboutin Vieira, are versatile—this pair can easily be worn way after your wedding,” says Dickson. “You can never go wrong by owning a pair of white sneakers! I’m very into monochromatic looks currently, and post-wedding these would be great with white jeans and a cute white top in the summer.” You can bet I’ll be packing these for the honeymoon, too!
