Is 2020 the year of the celebrity baby? We certainly think so! Blame it on quarantine, but so many of our favorite celebrity couples have shocked us with baby news recently.
Weeks after getting engaged, NFL quarterback Patrick Mahomes revealed his fiancée Brittany Matthews is pregnant with their first child (subsequently taking a small "detour" to the wedding!). And after two years of marriage, Game of Thrones couple Rose Leslie and Kit Harington are expecting. We even another royal baby on the way! This time, it's Princess Eugenie who's pregnant, announcing the news just one month shy of her second wedding anniversary with husband Jack Brooksbank.
Of course, a few stars have already welcomed their little ones this summer. Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner's first child (a daughter rumored to be named Willa!) arrived on July 22; Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom met daughter Daisy on Aug. 26; and supermodel Gigi Hadid birthed a baby girl with boyfriend Zayn Malik on Sept. 23.
But even with all of that baby excitement, there are still so many celebrities flaunting baby bumps right now. Ahead, every famous couple expecting a baby in the coming months—and the little A-listers we cannot wait to meet.
Emily Ratajkowski and husband Sebastian Bear-McClard are expecting their first child together! The model and actress shared the exciting news Oct. 26 with a special digital cover and penned essay for Vogue Magazine, in which she discusses the worries that come along with pregnancy and how she wants to avoid gender stereotypes.
“I’m completely and undeniably helpless when it comes to almost everything surrounding my pregnancy: how my body will change, who my child will be,” she writes. “But I’m surprisingly unbothered. Instead of feeling afraid, I feel a new sense of peace. I’m already learning from this person inside my body. I’m full of wonder.” The couple wed back in 2018 during a secret courthouse ceremony in New York.
The Younger actress took to Instagram on Oct. 23 to share that she is expecting her third child and second baby with her hubby Matthew Koma. “We are growing!!! Mostly me …” she captioned the Boomerang video that showed off her baby bump. Koma shared the same video writing, “lol quarantine was fun. Baby #3 - 2021” Add them to the hefty list of quarantine celebrity babies! Baby number three will join Duff and Koma’s daughter Banks Violet, who just turned two Oct. 25, and 8-year-old Luca, Duff’s son whom she shares with her former husband, Mike Comrie.
Katharine McPhee and David Foster
While Katharine McPhee, 36, and David Foster, 70, have yet to comment, People revealed the couple is pregnant with their first child together on Oct. 8. The former "American Idol" contestant was spotted sporting a baby bump while walking with her husband of one year in Los Angeles. While this baby marks the sixth child for Foster, this is McPhee's first.
Kelly Rowland and Tim Weatherspoon
Kelly Rowland announced her pregnancy on the November cover of Women's Health on Oct. 7. She debuted her bump on the cover of the magazine, revealing that she and husband Tim Weatherspoon got pregnant during the pandemic. "We had been talking about it loosely, and then COVID happened, and we were just like, ‘Let’s see what happens,'" the singer said of her decision to expand her family. Rowland and Weatherspoon are currently parents to five-year-old son Titan (who will turn 6 in November!).
Meghan Trainor and Daryl Sabara
Singer Meghan Trainor and Spy Kids star Daryl Sabara are expecting their first child in 2021! The couple announced the news on Instagram on Oct. 7, with Trainor writing, "You all know how long I’ve wanted this!!!! @darylsabara and I are so beyond happy and excited to meet this little cutie early next year! WE’RE PREGNANTTTTT!!!" Sabara shared similar excitement, saying, "I love you @meghan_trainor and I can’t wait to start a family with you," alongside an ultrasound photo. The news comes just two months ahead of the second wedding anniversary on Dec. 22, 2018.
Elsa Hosk and Tom Daly
On Sept. 29, Victoria's Secret model Elsa Hosk announced her pregnancy with boyfriend Tom Daly. The exciting news was paired with supermodel-worthy photos of Hosk baring her baby bump. "Been keeping this angel in my belly a secret for a while... Feeling beyond excited and lucky to be having a baby and begin the next chapter of life with the man of my dreams," she wrote on Instagram. Per her post, the model is halfway through her pregnancy and the little one should arrive early 2021.
Patrick Mahomes and Brittany Matthews
September proved to be an exciting month for NFL quarterback Patrick Mahomes. He started the month by proposing to longtime girlfriend Brittany Matthews at the Super Bowl ring ceremony in Kansas City. Then on Sept. 29, the newly-engaged pair announced their pregnancy. Both Mahomes and Matthews turned to Instagram to share the news, posting photos of each other holding an ultrasound photo. The pregnancy undoubtedly puts a bump in their wedding plans, to which Matthews wrote, "Mom & Dad, taking a small detour to the wedding."
Rose Leslie and Kit Harington
After meeting on the set of Game of Thrones (and portraying star-crossed lovers on-screen!), Rose Leslie and Kit Harington fell in love and wed in 2018. On Sept. 26 they announced another relationship milestone: They're pregnant with their first child! The actress debuted her baby bump on the cover of U.K. publication Make Magazine, revealing the pregnancy news to the world.
Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank
A royal baby is on the way! Princess Eugenie and husband Jack Brooksbank announced the exciting pregnancy news on Sept. 25. The little one will be the royal couple's first child (they famously tied the knot in 2018). Mom-to-be Eugenie revealed her pregnancy on Instagram, writing, "Jack and I are so excited for early 2021...." along with a photo of tiny teddy bear slippers.
Mandy Moore and Taylor Goldsmith
On Sept. 24, singer and actress Mandy Moore shared she is expecting her first child with husband Taylor Goldsmith. Per her sweet Instagram post, Moore is pregnant with a baby boy and is due in early 2021. The pregnancy news comes just shy of two years since saying "I do"—which Moore famously did in a pink gown!
Emma Stone and Dave McCary
While neither Emma Stone or Dave McCary have confirmed the news, multiple outlets reported the couple was pregnant after photos surfaced on Sept. 21. However, Stone's suspicious baby bump wasn't the only thing on display. The duo—who got engaged at the end of 2019—was also spotted wearing matching gold rings, prompting fans to believe they secretly tied the knot.
Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor
It's a boy for Vanderpump Rules stars Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor. After the couple revealed their pregnancy news on Sept. 21, they hosted a gender reveal a few weeks later. "Mom & Dad. The love of our lives is coming soon," Cartwright said on Instagram, while husband Taylor wrote, "Sooooo,........I am gonna be Dad."
Ashley Tisdale and Christopher French
High School Musical actress Ashley Tisdale and husband Christopher French have been married since 2014, but on Sept. 17 they revealed they'll soon become a family of three! Tisdale said, "Just the freaking cutest," on Instagram as she posed with her husband and her growing baby bump.
Lala Kent and Randall Emmett
Another pregnant Vanderpump Rules star, Lala Kent shared she is expecting her first child with fiancé Randall Emmett during an episode of their podcast Give Them Lala...with Randall on Sept. 2. "I'm like shaking right now because I can't believe it's a real-life thing," Lala said. "Today it's very much happy tears." Later that month, the couple hosted a unique gender reveal complete with a skydiver! They are now preparing to welcome a baby girl.
Emma Roberts and Garrett Hedlund
On Aug. 30, actress Emma Roberts debuted her baby bump on Instagram, announcing her pregnancy news. She is expecting her first child, a boy, with actor boyfriend Garrett Hedlund. "Me...and my two favorite guys," she captioned her sweet post.
Rachel McAdams and Jamie Linden
In mid-August, The Notebook actress Rachel McAdams was spotted sporting a baby bump while running errands in Los Angeles, prompting fans to assume she is expecting another child with boyfriend Jamie Linden. McAdams and Linden are already parents to a two-year-old son and kept that pregnancy news under wraps at the time.
Bindi Irwin and Chandler Powell
After tying the knot during a small ceremony in March, Bindi Irwin and husband Chandler Powell announced they are pregnant with their first child on Aug. 11. "Baby Wildlife Warrior due 2021," she wrote on Instagram. "Chandler and I are proud to announce that we’re expecting! It’s an honour to share this special moment in our lives with you. Though I’m still in my first trimester, we really want you to be part of our journey from the beginning of this new life chapter. Morgan Stewart and Jordan McGraw
One month after getting engaged, E! host Morgan Stewart had another milestone to share with fiancé Jordan McGraw: They're pregnant! "She may not be great at math but at least we know she’ll be well dressed," wrote Stewart on Instagram, which doubled as a gender reveal. To announce the news, the engaged couple popped a balloon to find pink confetti, a clear indicator there is a daughter on the way!
Hannah Bronfman and Brendan Fallis
Founder of HBFIT and DJ Hannah Bronfman announced she was expecting her first child with husband Brendan Fallis on July 25. "I can't believe I'm finally sharing this news with you guys," she said on Instagram. "@brendanfallis and I are beyond thrilled to announce that we’re pregnant! I have imagined this day for over 3 years now and while the journey to get here has been rocky and not at all what I had imagined, we are extra grateful to the process that led us here and we can't wait to share it all with you!" The baby is due in 2020 and expected to be a Scorpio, per Bronfman.
Romee Strijd and Laurens van Leeuwen
"WE’RE HAVING A BABY," wrote Dutch model Romee Strijd on Instagram on May 28. After being diagnosed with Polycystic ovary syndrome two years ago, she is now expecting her first child with husband Laurens van Leeuwen. She continued, "WE’RE SOON A FAMILY OF THREE & to the women trying to conceive, believe in yourself and be nice for yourself and your body and don’t let those thoughts get to you too much."
Jade Roper Tolbert and Tanner Tolbert
Bachelor in Paradise couple Jade Roper Tolbert and Tanner Tolbert are expecting baby number three! They announced the pregnancy news on May 18, saying, "HERE WE GROW AGAIN!!! It feels so good to be able to finally talk about this pregnancy!" Adding, "Although this time has its uncertainties, we are so thankful and excited for this baby. I truly believe babies being born during this time are here for a special reason, to be light workers. We are beyond happy to love another baby, to give Emmy and Brooks another sibling and to have our children be so close!" Since marrying in 2016, the couple has already welcomed two children.
Ashlee Simpson Ross and Evan Ross
On April 30, Ashlee Simpson Ross and Evan Ross revealed they are pregnant with their second child together (Ashlee has a son with ex-husband Pete Wentz). In September, the coupled celebrated the impending arrival of their new little one with a baby shower hosted by Simpson's mother, Tina, and sister, Jessica.
