How to Buy Kristen Stewart's Ring from Hulu's "Happiest Season"

It's from Brilliant Earth's new gender-fluid line.

Happiest Season

Hulu

It is about time we have a major LGBTQ+ holiday romance movie. Finally, we’re getting one! Happiest Season directed by Clea DuVall premieres on Hulu today!

And you better believe we had high expectations for the cast, after all, it is the first LGBTQ+ holiday rom-com. And trust us, they did not disappoint. The star-studded cast includes Kristen Stewart, Dan Levy, Alison Brie, Mackenzie Davis, and Aubrey Plaza—just to name a few.

The Hulu original movie follows lesbian couple Abby and Harper (Stewart and Davis) on a visit to Harper’s family home for the holidays—the first time Abby will meet Harper’s parents. Abby ups the stakes even more with a secret plan to propose during their stay. But there’s just one problem: Harper’s parents don’t know she’s gay, which she fails to mention to Abby until their arrival. The rest of the movie shows the couple’s comedic attempts to hide their romantic relationship and stay in the closet—which in turn causes a bit of a strain on their relationship.

While we don’t know exactly how this love story ends just yet (we hope happily!), we do know there is a ring—and, of course, we have all the details!

The ring (which can even be seen in the trailer) is part of Brilliant Earth’s new gender-fluid ring line, which launched earlier this month. Titled Mx (a non-gendered prefix used instead of Mr. or Mrs.), the line was designed with inclusivity and their customer’s needs in mind in hopes to create more diverse options for every single consumer.

“We are thrilled to be a part of this breakthrough Christmas movie,” SVP of Merchandising & Retail Expansion for Brilliant Earth, Kathryn Money, told Brides. “This inclusion felt like a natural fit for our brand as we are proud to have a strong LGBTQIA+ customer base. The film’s message aligns with our values of creating a more compassionate and inclusive jewelry industry. We had been discussing the possibility of a gender-fluid line for some time, and the partnership with Happiest Season became the perfect catalyst in terms of timing.”

The collection features four engagement rings and nine wedding bands, all available in Platinum, 18K White Gold, 18K Yellow Gold, and 14K Rose Gold. The gender nonconforming rings are designed to appeal to all genders and gender identities.

“Millennials and Gen Zs overall have a much less binary view of sexuality and gender,” says Money. “We are now starting to see these younger generations enter the wedding space as they come of age, and we want to celebrate their unique characteristics by promoting inclusivity and equity in our bridal offerings. Their openness to gender fluidity is part of what inspired us to create the Mx collection.”

While there is still a lot of work to be done surrounding inclusion, this is a great step for the jewelry—and film—industry.

“The Mx collection is our way of celebrating and promoting love in all its forms by recognizing those that identify as non-binary and gender non-conforming in the jewelry space,” says Money. “We can only hope other brands will follow in our footsteps by recognizing and celebrating love in all its forms.”

The Mx line is available to shop now at Brilliant Earth showrooms and on BrilliantEarth.com. You can even peruse their new “Rings for Everyone” page, which allows customers to view gender neutral rings with expanded sizing options. And Happiest Season is available for streaming on Hulu exclusively in the U.S. today.
