Over the past several years, the fashion industry has seen a shift towards inclusivity as it pertains to race, size, gender identity, and physical accessibility (to name a few). Though there's always more work to be done, many brands are positively shaping the industry, especially within bridal fashion.
Today, ELOQUII—the experts in fashion and fit for sizes 14 to 28—has launched its first-ever bridal collection, aptly named Bridal by ELOQUII. Featuring over 50 styles, the new line offers an array of wedding dresses, pantsuits, and jumpsuits, that are not only size-inclusive but thoughtfully designed for every major wedding moment.
"For Bridal by ELOQUII, we are bringing our same expertise in design and fit that customers know, love, and expect from ELOQUII. Our process is very unique and we operate like a design house to craft a range of styles and get the fit right," shares Yesenia Torres, creative director at ELOQUII. "No matter what ELOQUII does, we know and love that our customer wants fashion to express themselves."
The brand has made it a mission to provide affordable options, pricing every Bridal by ELOQUII item at under $900—a steal when it comes to bridalwear. "ELOQUII always strives to make fashion accessible with affordable price points, and this collection is no different," Torres tells Brides.
Additionally, the creative director notes that each piece is constructed in a similar fashion to bridal garments made at a traditional atelier. Every detail—"including boning, power mesh, bustiers, additional yardage on the side seams, and extra length at the hem, plus romantic fabrics such as lace, tulle, satin, sequins, and embellished details,"—was thoughtfully crafted to offer a one-of-a-kind look.
For Torres, a few favorites from the collection include a corset dress with a bubble skirt, a maxi ruffle top with high waisted straight leg pants, and a one-button blazer with a bustier and wide-leg pants—ensembles that can be worn for a wedding, rehearsal dinner, or bridal shower.
"Every bride’s shopping experience should be about the 'yes' moment—that feeling of being over the moon that they've found the style or styles that reflect their unique bridal vision. Too much of the plus apparel space is about the 'no', not being able to find something in your size," notes Torres. And with Bridal by ELOQUII, every bride will get the opportunity to shop for their dream look despite the stress surrounding sizing and affordability.
The collection is available now, exclusively at ELOQUII.com/Bridal.
