Someone hand us a Skinnygirl cocktail because Bethenny Frankel is not done dropping bombshells! Despite announcing her unexpected exit from the Real Housewives of New York City earlier this week, Frankel had another surprise coming. She is married!
The Bravo star slyly shared the news in an early morning tweet on Friday as she was sending her former costars well wishes in wake of her sudden exit. Mid-tweet she just casually mentioned she is the only cast member who is actually married, using that as an excuse for her departure. "To my NY hwives: GO GET EM! I had to go since I’m the only one that is actually married...that’s how crazy this ride is. You are all amazing, beautiful and strong. Spread your wings and fly! Xoxo," read the tweet.
It's no secret that Frankel has been dating film producer Paul Bergon for some time now, but a secret marriage—how did the world miss this? The Skinnygirl creator has been open about her love for Bergon on social media, even sharing a heartfelt post in honor of his birthday. "You are such a brilliant, sweet, beautiful, kind, hilarious person. You have enriched my life immeasurably. You make me laugh to the point of tears...You embrace my life, my spirit, my daughter, my career, my goals, and my choices.
The very few people who truly know you are the luckiest people in the world. You have literally and figuratively saved my life," she captioned the Instagram post.
If Frankel truly did tie the knot with Bergon, we can (sort of) understand why she kept it quiet. Her previous engagement and marriage to ex-husband Jason Hoppy was documented on the hit Bravo show Bethenny Getting Married? from 2010 to 2012. Perhaps she just wanted a love off-camera?
Still, we need to know more about this marriage, the wedding and everything in between! Did any housewives make the guest list? How many Skinnygirl drinks were served? Did someone sing cabaret? Whether it was a lavish Manhattan bash, exclusive party in the Hamptons or an intimate courthouse ceremony, congratulations are very much in order! But, don't mind us—we'll just be refreshing our Twitter feed all day for some answers!
