Bridal gown extraordinaire Anne Barge has launched a "Little White Dress" collection to meet all of your wedding event dress needs. And while we love a classic little black dress moment, we have a feeling we’re going to like a LWD even more!
The 11-piece collection features designs for any wedding event, from your bridal shower to the rehearsal dinner to the reception, and everything in between. The collection was designed with comfort, ease, and practicality offering brides stylish choices—a pantsuit and looser-fitting dresses to give the bride ample room to move around and dance.
"Brides can choose between a variety of pre and post-wedding event [outfits] such as their engagement party, bridal shower luncheon, bridesmaids’ brunch, honeymoon, bachelorette party, welcome party, events during the wedding weekend, micro wedding or send-offs," Anne Barge’s creative director and president Shawne Jacobs tells Brides exclusively.
2020 has brought on a slew of courthouse weddings, elopements, and intimate ceremonies, and with that more casual, less-traditional dresses. It’s actually the perfect time to rock the short dress trend—maybe even for your main ceremony dress.
"It is now more important than ever, to have these options for our brides," says Jacobs. "They should feel free to break the rulebook during this time, as there should be no guidelines as to what a bride can or cannot wear. All of [the] pieces in the Little White Dress collection would be the perfect fit for an intimate wedding setting."
But if you’re more of a traditional bride and want to keep a long gown for your special day, there’s actually a long history of brides changing into shorter, more stylish dresses later in the evening.
"It has been noted that as early as 1930, brides have been changing towards the end of their reception into their 'go away dress,'" says Jacobs. "Although the concept isn't new, I have seen wedding outfit ensembles becoming trendier over the past five years. Some brides are wanting to change out of their wedding dress into something that allows them more freedom to dance during the reception while others want to change into something more stylish like a party dress." Jacobs says she accredits the increase in this trend to reality TV and the age of influencers.
Whatever the reason or occasion you need a little white dress for, the LWD collection will definitely have an outfit to meet your needs—and your budget. The price point for the collection is $295-$795, so there’s really something for every bride. Keep scrolling to see the complete collection and shop the line at annebarge.com.
