If you haven’t heard of Andrew Kwon yet, we're certain you'll hear all about him soon. A graduate of Parson School of Design, Andrew launched his eponymous bridal line on Valentine’s Day of 2021. In only a few short months, the bridal designer has been publicly praised by Olivia Palermo, has shown his collection at New York Bridal Fashion Week, and has collaborated with Bergdorf Goodman (where his designs are currently available for purchase).
"For me, bridal has always been that moment of turning fantasy into reality. Growing up in several different suburbs across the country, there weren’t a lot of galas or red carpet moments, so I wanted to make those special moments for brides. It’s their moment to shine and to live their dream," shares the designer.
Though Kwon has already made huge strides in bridal fashion, the best is yet to come. Specifically, when asked about the future legacy he'd like to leave, he candidly revealed, "I’m just starting out so, at this moment, I’m treating each step along the way as part of my legacy. I hope my story encourages others, both younger and older, to pursue their dreams. If that positivity of making your dreams your reality becomes synonymous with my label, then I’ll have done my job." We absolutely agree!
Andrew Kwon Collection Four
Andrew Kwon's 2023 collection is intended to make brides feel like red-carpet-ready celebrities, so it's no surprise that Kwon sought inspiration from the iconic Chanel perfume ads featuring Nicole Kidman. The stars of the show this season are the fabrics Kwon incorporated into the styles: guipure lace dusted with crystals; metallic lurex threading; and an ombré palette of Kwon’s signature 3D-floral material. These luxurious, glistening, and sparkling fabrics bring the collection to life, and encapsulate Kwon's own journey of self discovery.

Andrew Kwon Collection 2
Andrew Kwon channeled past, present, and future while dreaming up his latest bridal collection. “I looked back at moments over the past year and how dreams are still possible. How the fantasy becomes reality. And that women still seek beauty," says the designer. The result is a gorgeous array of gowns that range from structured minimalism to dramatic entrance-makers in unexpected colors.

Andrew Kwon Collection 1
Music, dance, and mom. These are the main points of inspiration behind Kwon's debut bridal collection—all of which are clearly seen throughout his ethereal and modern designs.
The designer tells Brides "Music and dance have always inspired me and when I was thinking of the first designs for reminiscence—Collection 1, I was listening to some of the most gifted composers including Max Richter’s score for The Leftovers, Carlos Rafael Rivera who did The Queen’s Gambit, and Johann Johannsson’s works for The Theory of Everything." He also adds, "My mom is my ultimate inspiration and muse, and growing up I saw how she used fashion as a vehicle for self-confidence. I hope the Andrew Kwon bride feels just as poised and powerful when she’s walking down the aisle."
