Tina Worner was in no mood to hit the Boston bars with her girlfriends—it was March and freezing outside. But her friends persisted, and Tina finally agreed to go along. She planned to go home early, until she met Jim McNulty. "I was instantly attracted to him, and felt like we could chat forever," she remembers. Despite a disastrous first date—Tina arrived late and exhausted from a long day at work—Jim asked her out again. Their second date and all the ones that followed were a success.

About a year later, the couple was at Olive's, their usual Friday night hangout. After an intimate dinner, Tina noticed a horse and carriage coming toward the restaurant through a window near their table. "I thought, 'How romantic,'" says Tina, who didn't realize at the time that the carriage was part of Jim's proposal plan. To trick her, he suggested they try to score a ride. Ten minutes into their journey, Jim presented her with a diamond ring. "I looked Tina in the eyes and said how I could only imagine spending the rest of my life with her," he says. Shocked and happy, the bride-to-be screamed yes.
