Anna’s family, who live in Brazil, were not able to make it to the wedding, so Josh set up a Webcam so that Anna’s parents, brother, sister and grandmother could view the ceremony live.

A line of bud vases holding single roses dressed up one of the inn’s mantelpieces. Linnea Rufo, the inn’s owner, executive chef and multitasker extraordinaire, assembled all of the wedding’s floral elements, including the centerpieces and bouquets.

After the ceremony, everyone gathered in the inn’s main dining room for dinner and dancing. "It was the perfect size for our small party—the room was comfortable and cozy, but also refined," says Anna. "We were really able to spend time talking with each and every guest."

Anna, who moved from Brazil to the U.S. in 2005, hired a Brazilian trio to play at the reception. "Josh has become a big fan of bossa nova music, so we both were really happy with the choice," says Anna. But, for their first dance, the couple chose "Crazy Love," by Van Morrison. "The lyrics represent how we feel about each other now, and how we know we’ll feel about each other for the rest of our lives," says Anna.

"Josh is not a big fan of desserts, but I love them, so we wanted to pick something we both would like," says the bride. "We decided on a white cake with berry filling and buttercream frosting, and it was delicious." The cake, and all of the catering for the affair, was provided by The Bee and Thistle Inn.
