THE CELEBRATION

THEIR STORY

Right before Heather and Mike moved to Boston from San Francisco, they visited Chateau St. Jean winery for a tasting. Although they weren't yet engaged, they knew it was where they wanted to get married.

Heather and Mike planned their wedding using personal touches that not only added character and a welcoming feel but also helped keep them on budget. Practicality turned into an aesthetically beautiful scene when Heather decided to give her guests parasols to block the hot California sun during the ceremony. Funky pink polka-dot goblets also doubled as decorations to brighten up the elegant outdoor tables.

"When you have a limited budget, every decision is a big one," says Heather. Once she chose Chateau St. Jean as the venue for her wedding, Heather knew she could minimize decor—and save some cash—because of the beautiful, natural surroundings. —Cari Wolfert
