The ceremony was held at half past six in the evening under the gazebo in Genevieve’s Garden at Brook Lodge in Augusta. The event was a family affair: Jonathan’s father, a pastor, conducted the ceremony while Kayla's grandmother read some meaningful scripture. One of Kayla’s close friends sang “For the Beauty of the Earth,” a favorite hymn.
