- Question:
My ceremony and reception sites aren't within walking distance. Can I ask my guests to use communal transportation or to carpool?
- Answer:
Rent a few hybrid cars and designate a group of good friends and family members to drive your guests from the ceremony to the reception site. You’ll save on gas and reduce carbon emissions, and your drivers won’t have to worry about wear and tear on their own cars. If your reception site is at a hotel where most of your guests will be staying, have guests drop off their cars at the hotel first and chauffeur them to the ceremony as well. Carpooling also prevents guests from worrying about driving back to the hotel at the end of the night after having a few drinks.
