About Us
My name is Steven Rosen, and I have been a photographer for 12 years, shooting weddings, elopements, proposals, and portraits. Located in Brooklyn, I work with all types of couples, but am proud to have shot more than 120 same-sex weddings, which is probably more than, well, just about anyone.

That said, Ive worked with as many straight couples as LGBT ones and I love them too. I don't discriminate.

My style is a combination of capturing candid moments and kick-ass portraits. Sure, I will definitely capture the authentic moments of laughter and tears that make up a wedding day. But I also love to take some time with my couples to find a great spot with beautiful light, or use light to create a great spot, and pose them.

Yeah, thats right. I said the P word. You would think from what you read these days, that posing was a fate worse than death. Im not talking about stiff poses with frozen smiles. Im talking about collaborating with my clients to understand their unique physical vocabulary, and using that to inform how I guide them during a portrait session.

I believe you can create a kind of authenticity through artifice.

After all, a wedding day is not like every other day. There is a certain amount of artifice built in. You dont go grocery shopping in a tuxedo, or a big white dress with a veil.

Although, come to think of it, that would make for an awesome image. The two of you stealing a kiss in the produce section. Keeping each other warm in frozen foods. OK, now Im getting excited. If anyone wants to do that, hit me up.

Of course if youre doing a more traditional wedding or a small elopement, and just want some beautiful pictures to remember the day by. I can absolutely do that.

Lets face it, I just love Love. I love working with couples. Whether you're just starting your lives together or are an LGBT couple who can finally get married after 50 years.

Capturing your love is my passion, so lets make beautiful pictures together.
