Raspberry Lemonade

Mix things up at the cocktail hour by offering a drink from a punch bowl or a pitcher. Candy sticks as stirrers and bold printed napkins can add to the fun feel. And pretty bottles of fruit soda, or other nonalcoholic options, are often appreciated by guests.

Recipe: In a saucepot over low heat, combine 16 ounces raspberries and 24 ounces raw sugar in 16 ounces water until sugar has dissolved, crushing berries as you stir. Pass through a fine-meshed strainer into a pitcher. Add 16 ounces fresh-squeezed lemon juice and 32 ounces water; chill. Add a handful of fresh raspberries before serving.
