Wedding Style Inspiration: Cherry Blossoms

The blooming period for cherry blossoms is brief—typically the season stretches from late March to mid-April—and that may be part of what makes them so compelling. Or it might be the delicate yet graphic nature of the flowers themselves, balanced against the strong wood branches. One thing's for sure: they make for an always-stylish wedding style motif.

Designer Claire Pettibone took her love of floral embroidery, airy fabrics, and fanciful details to new levels of prettiness with her Fall 2010 collection, inspired by the annual Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington D.C.
