Using elements of their Brooklyn apartment décor as inspiration, we help engaged couple Alison and Nick translate the vintage details of their home into a wedding style that works.

Alison and Nick's aesthetic is a sophisticated version of thrift-store chic, with quirky touches like Elvis nesting dolls and a footstool-slash-terrarium of fake flowers that reveal a great sense of humor.

Their love of all things vintage lead them to choose a 1940s-era movie theater in Alison's hometown of Lewisburg, PA for their wedding ceremony. Afterward, a cocktail reception for 175 guests will be held at a 19th-century church that's now used by an antiques dealer. "He's removed all the pews and filled the space with vintage furniture," explains Alison. "It's very 'us.'"
