Wedding Mood: Cool

Defining characteristic: doesn't seem anything like a wedding

Ideal setting: nightclub or sleek hotel bar

Most expensive version would include: Cirque du Soleil performers

You'll make do with: belly dancers

Colors seen: cobalt and tangerine

You'd wear: something short or tight, edgy, and one-of-a-kind, akin to the above Angel Sanchez number

On bridesmaids: vintage

Invitations: anything from Hammerpress

Serving style and menu: passed heavy hors d'oeuvres and cocktails, dessert buffet, espresso bar

On tables: pillar candleholders wrapped in funky-patterned papers and filled with battery powered tea lights

Reception music: is by the area's hottest club DJ

Cake would be: chocolate inside and out, with ironic vintage topper

Extra entertainment: a Tarot card reading

After-party: There is no "after." This is the party.

On their way out the door, guests overheard saying: "That was a blast."
