If the thought of donning a veil and stumbling through a haze of bars for your bachelorette party sounds so "not you," we've got some other ideas, straight from the brides who enjoyed them.

Italian Road Trip Adventure

Event-planning company founder Amanda, 31, left the planning of her own bachelorette party to her friends, who had flown to Italy the week before her Tuscan destination wedding. Amanda's friends knew about her love of road trips and wanted to incorporate an adventure into the plans.

"I loved the idea of a bachelorette weekend away, and since we were already gathered in Italy, we made it a 24-hour adventure," she says.

The group set out from their rented villa in Sienna to a spa two hours away, where they enjoyed a mineral pool, manicures, and a leisurely lunch. Next up was Florence for an evening stroll through the San Lorenzo leather market, a decadent four-hour alfresco dinner, a Vespa tour of the city, and a night of dancing.

"We drove back as the sun was rising over the Tuscan hills and arrived at the villa at 6 a.m. to find the bachelor party swimming in the pool!" Amanda says.
