If the thought of donning a veil and stumbling through a haze of bars for your bachelorette party sounds so "not you," we've got some other ideas, straight from the brides who enjoyed them.

Girlfriends' Tradition Ski Weekend

Colorado bride Lindsay, 34, had just one request for her bachelorette party: Change nothing.

"My girlfriends and I have a ski weekend tradition a few times a year," she explains. "All I wanted for my party was to spend time doing what I love in a place I love with the people I love."

The group caravanned from Boulder to Jackson, Wyo., to hit the slopes, but, of course, Lindsay's friends threw in a few treats and touches to make the event feel special.

One evening, over dinner at their rented mountain house, Lindsay was showered with lingerie and toasted with wine. Another day, they all got spa treatments, relaxed in the rooftop hot tub, and lounged by the fireplace.

"It was fun relaxing in our robes, flipping through magazines," Lindsay, a digital media executive, says. "We're all pretty active, so it was nice to take over the spa after a day of skiing."
