Photojournalistic Wedding Photos

Some of the best wedding photos are ones you don't plan. Here, brides share the story behind their most memorable snaps.

"Ernesto and I were on the dance floor when all of a sudden, several of our friends hoisted me above their shoulders. The next thing I knew, I was flying—they'd thrown me four, maybe five feet in the air! It's a Latin tradition to toss the bride and groom in the air in celebration—my family is from Argentina, and my husband is from Mexico—but I didn't think they'd throw me so high! I looked over at Ernesto, and he was being tossed up and down, too—many more times than me. The venue had to close the ballroom at 2 a.m., so a bunch of us went upstairs to the lounge for an after-party and stayed until four in the morning. Our wedding was such a crazy party, so much fun. I wish we could do it again. I don't know if I'll ever have another night like that."
