Photojournalistic Wedding Photos
Some of the best wedding photos are ones you don't plan. Here, brides share the story behind their most memorable snaps.
"I'd always imagined wearing a short dress on my wedding day—something with a full skirt that I could dance and twirl around in. I found a vintage dress and had it shortened to the perfect length, and added a petticoat underneath. To match, I had pale yellow tutus custom-made for our flower girls, Georgia and Avery, my husband's nieces. On the wedding day, the girls and I got ready together, and a few minutes before the ceremony started, I told them we needed to practice our twirls. We had such a fun time, the three of us spinning and giggling in our dresses. It was a bonding moment, and I feel like it really signified the beginning of my relationship with my new family."—Skiles, married to Daniel in Red Lodge, Montana
