"We'd asked my brother to welcome Niels into the Gale family, and Niels' sister to welcome me into the Heilmann family during the ceremony. But instead of giving a speech as we'd expected, my brother asked everyone to start snapping their fingers, and then he began to sing! He'd changed the title of "L-O-V-E" by Nat King Cole to "G-A-L-E," and rewritten the lyrics. The best part was that he'd preassigned singing parts to two of my aunts, who stood up at their seats to sing the refrains. I was so surprised—it was like something out of a musical!"
