Seven brides share their entertainment choices, and tell us if they regret them now.

Liz Clark to Eric Kuvinka
90 guests at the Thomas Birkby House, a historic property in Leesburg, VA

The choice: DJ D-Mac. We weren't looking for a traditional wedding DJ. We wanted the reception to feel like the dance floor of a club we might have visited with friends back in our heyday. Plus, our DJ's specialty is hip-hop, which Eric loves.

The search: I found DJ D-Mac's website through a search, and after meeting him for a consultation, we knew we had found someone who knew as much about hip-hop as my husband, so that sealed the deal.

The instructions: We wanted a DJ who was more of a mix artist than someone who just played a list of songs we requested. We sent him a list of favorite songs, but also gave him the freedom to mix it up and surprise us a little bit—I think it flowed better that way.

The results: DJ D-Mac provided the music for both the ceremony and the reception, and he made sure to spec out the floor plans and environment beforehand so he could smoothly set up and transition between the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception.
