The hunt is on for tasty, affordable reception wines. Chuck Furuya, a Honolulu master sommelier for D.K. Restaurants (dkrestaurants.com), suggests these bottles, all under $12.

 Sparkling Wines

Mionetto NV Prosecco del Veneto II ($9.95) With a floral aroma and apple-peach notes, this light Italian bubbly shines with brunch menus.

Marques de Monistrol Rosé Cava NV ($9.99) This Spanish sparkler has a fruity flavor and pretty pink blush; it’s smashing with both vegetable and seafood hors d’oeuvres.

White Wines

2007 Tilia Chardonnay ($7.99) This crisp Argentinean beauty with tropical citrus and floral notes pairs well with popular seafood picks like crab cakes and salmon.
