Instead of traditional wedding cake, the couple decided to serve assorted pies for dessert. The apple, pumpkin, pecan, and shoefly pies were from Country Table Restaurant in Mount Joy. Snapshots of the couple were on display above the dessert table. During the reception, guests took Polaroid photos of themselves to add to the display; after the wedding, the couple placed the photos in an album.
