Joy designed her own wedding dress, looking to styles worn by Audrey Hepburn and Grace Kelly as inspiration. She brought her sketches to a seamstress at Madame Paulette, in Manhattan, who created the gown using lace from Joy's mother's wedding gown. The bride's hat was also custom-designed, by Ellen Christine Millinery. Fred wore a white suit rented from After Hours.
