Sara and Jason in Chicago, IL

Natural details and seasonal accents embellish this couple's Second City celebration

After taking to the streets of Chicago for a post-ceremony photo shoot, Sara accepted a kiss from her new hubby, Jason. She wore a strapless cream-color Pronovias gown with lace and beaded detail purchased at Dimitria’s Couture. The groom wore a black tuxedo from Formally Modern Tuxedo.

When Sara and Jason started to plan their wedding, they decided to focus on two main themes—the time of year, autumn, and the location, their home city, Chicago.

"Chicago has great architecture, and we wanted to take advantage of it in our photos," says the bride, who went on a post-ceremony photo shoot around the city with her groom and bridal party. The crew hit Chicago hot spots like the Wrigley Building and LaSalle Street, where The Dark Knight was filmed.

As for the affair’s color scheme, Sara channeled the season’s bright hues into a chocolate-brown and burnt-orange reception filled with pumpkins, wheat and many other natural details. "Fall is my favorite season," Sara says. "I got married one week before my 30th birthday, and I always enjoyed celebrating in the fall."
