An elegant lakeside wedding with classic and family-inspired elements

The chocolate wedding cake by Bella e Dolce was layered with mocha buttercream and chocolate ganache, and the fondant icing was decorated with the same pattern as the one on Stacey’s dress. The cake topper, a family heirloom, had also been used by Dan’s parents and grandparents.

Stacey and Dan knew each other while growing up in Northville, but lost touch. Years later, Dan heard that Stacey was working at Food & Wine magazine. Intrigued, he sent her a letter to reconnect. They were married 18 months later.

The two foodies hosted an elegant wedding at the Walloon Lake Country Club beside a glittering lake with a menu modeled after those of their favorite steak houses.
