Sarah and Francesco in Amalfi, Italy

A spectacular setting is the backdrop for an international celebration

At Santa Caterina, guests enjoyed a meal of Italian delicacies and an eclectic selection of music chosen to appeal to the multinational crowd. Sarah gifted guests with bottles of limoncello in personalized Vietri ceramic bottles.

"We knew right away we wanted to be married in Amalfi," says Sarah, who is American. Francesco's family has deep roots in the area, and his parents are the proprietors of two of the town's hotels, including the world-renowned Santa Caterina.

Sarah wanted to play up Amalfi's natural assets, so she had her wedding stationery printed on the beautiful handmade paper produced in the town. The region is also famous for lemons and limoncello, so Sarah incorporated the fruits in her decor. After dessert of torta nuziale, Italian wedding cake, a fireworks display illuminated the Mediterranean.
