The couple chose a yellow cake layered with fudge and frosted in chocolate buttercream, by East Detroit Bakery in Eastpointe. Fresh mini gerbera daisies, yellow Viking chrysanthemums and hypericum berries topped off the dessert.

Christine and Rich needed little additional decor for their October nuptials at the Grosse Pointe War Memorial. The couple incorporated splashes of color where needed and let the rest of the venue—where the bride's parents married 40 years earlier—speak for itself.
