California natives plan an outdoor wedding with a hint of Spanish flair
Carrie and Chris chose to be married in their home state of California, but they wanted to treat their wedding guests to what Carrie calls a "taste of Spain." Carrie spent a year as an exchange student in Spain and was inspired not only by the culinary offerings of the country but by its color palette as well.
The theme was woven into various details of the wedding, apparent in the Spanish wines at the reception, a signature red sangria during the cocktail hour, a main course of paella, and the bright yellow and red accents that popped up everywhere, from the groom's tie to the bride's bouquet.
